ElectysField Manual
About the manual

A field manual, not a sales pitch.

Electys exists to explain home electrical safety clearly — the way a good manual would, with labelled diagrams and plain language, so a confident homeowner can understand their house instead of fearing it.

What this is

An independent, diagram-led reference for the electrical safety that keeps a home sound: GFCIs and AFCIs, grounding, surge protection, reading a panel, and the room-by-room hazards worth knowing. Every topic is written to be timeless — we don't stamp dates on our guidance, because the physics of a safe circuit doesn't expire.

The signature is our house safety map and the we-draw technical diagrams behind it: clean, labelled illustrations of how a GFCI trips, what a panel is doing, and where the risk sits in each room. The diagrams are our own artwork, drawn to teach — not stock photos, and never people.

What this is not

We are not a contractor and we don't take bookings. We are not an electrician you hire, and we are not a manufacturer with a catalogue to move. Products, standards and techniques are covered generically and in the third person. Where a topic crosses into work that belongs behind a panel cover, we say so plainly and point you to a licensed electrician.

How to read us

Start with Keep Your House Safe for the overview, open the house safety map to navigate by room, or browse the five sections from the top of any page. Every diagram has a written how-to, and every guide is a real, linkable page — nothing hides behind a script.

any work inside the panel, a new circuit, or a fault you can't explain belongs to a licensed electrician.
